Wargasm announce âlive and fucking loudâ livestream from a tank graveyard
Wargasm have announced that they will be performing a âlive and fucking loudâ livestream from a graveyard in support of their debut album ‘Venom‘.
The electronic metal duo â comprised of Sam Matlock and Milkie Way â took to the band’s official social media accounts to announce the livestream performance. They revealed that on Monday (July 8) they will play their debut album ‘Venom’ in its entirety for the first time at a tank graveyard in the middle of England.
On the livestream’s website, Wargasm teased that their performance may include drones and pyro and added that the whole thing could possibly “end in flames and a bang” urging fans to “expect the unexpected.”
The FAQ section stressed that the performance will be 100 per cent live and will be available to be watched with Chromecast or Airplay on smart TVs. The stream will also be available to be rewatched. Visit here to purchase tickets.
In a four-star review of the band’s album, NME shared: “âVenomâ is a consistent album that builds on last yearâs teaser project âEXPLICIT: The MiXXXtapeâ, but this time with a significantly raw feel. âS.A.D.â is perhaps the epitome of this sound, zooming in and out of heaviness with Matlockâs creepy croaks juxtaposed against Wayâs atmospheric cleans in the pre-chorus. âRide The Thunderâ brings triplet rap flows to the table, over a throbbing beat thatâs just waiting to kick off, while the title track leaves zero breathing space, sounding fast and furious from the get-go. Itâs a total riot.”
Speaking to NME last month at Download Festival, the duo revealed that they have a new collab on the way which will see them launch a new era.
âI think itâs going to look different going forward, itâs time for it all to change and evolve. We need to bring more war, and more gasm,â Matlock explained when asked about new material. âCome back next month and youâll understand how. Thereâll be new music â or at least I think itâll be out thenâ¦â
He continued: âWeâve featured on a lot of other artistsâ tunes this year, and it made us realise that we really want another artist to be the one featuring on our tunes. So far weâve only had that once, but it was Fred Durst to be fair. So come back next month and you see â our first dream collaboration was with Fred, and the second is on the way.â
In other news, Wargasm will be joining KoRn for their two UK shows next month. The iconic nu-metal band will take over the Scarborough Open Air Theatre on August 8 as well as London’s Gunnersbury Park on August 11. Visit here to purchase any remaining tickets.
