The saga of the ‘Alien’ franchise continues to twist like a facehugger floating in a jar. Now comes news from The Hollywood Reporter that a new movie is in the works, one that won’t follow 2024’s ‘Alien: Romulus.’
Instead, ‘Prisoners’ writer Aaron Guzikowski is at work on a script that will tie to prequels ‘Prometheus’ and ‘Alien: Covenant.’
‘Alien’ franchise overlord Ridley Scott, who handled the 1979 original and those two prequels, is aboard to produce the new film but has yet to confirm if he’ll be back in the director’s chair.

What’s the story of the new ‘Alien’ movie?

There are zero details on what the plot might be, but Scott has recently been talking up plans for more in the prequel zone for the Xenomorph story.
