Texas forever! In honor of the upcoming 20th anniversary of NBC‘s Friday Night Lights, which premiered on October 3, 2006, the cast and creatives behind the critically acclaimed football drama descended upon Austin, Texas, for the 2026 ATX TV Festival.

This reunion was a true homecoming for all involved with FNL, since the TV series was famously filmed in Austin, Texas. Ahead of their May 29 reunion panel, cast members Adrianne Palicki (Tyra Collette), Jesse Plemons (Landry Clarke), Aimee Teegarden (Julie Taylor), Gaius Charles (Smash Williams), Scott Porter (Jason Street), Brad Leland (Buddy Garrity), and Louanne Stephens (Mrs. Saracen), as well as showrunner/executive producer Jason Katims, executive producer/writer David Hudgins, executive producer/director Jeffrey Reiner, and consulting producer/writer Kerry Ehrin, paid a visit to TV Insider’s ATX studio.

With clear eyes, full hearts, and Grandma Saracen’s SnackWell’s, the Friday Night Lights crew posed for portraits taken by photographer Matt Sayles. Even after 20 years, the FNL love from fans and the cast alike is stronger than ever. With an enduring legacy like that, Friday Night Lights simply can’t lose.
