Golden Globes Nominations 2025: Complete Nominees List

The nominations for the 2025 Golden Globes will be unveiled live at a press conference at the Beverly Hilton on Monday morning.

Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut are set to reveal the nominees across 27 categories, starting at 5:15 a.m. PT, with the announcement streamed live on CBS News’ website, YouTube channel and mobile app. Additionally, 10 exclusive categories will be revealed on CBS Mornings starting at 530 a.m. PT.

Kaling, known for her work on shows like The Mindy Project, Never Have I Ever and The Office, currently serves as a writer and executive producer for the Max series The Sex Lives of College Girls, which she co-created. She’s also writing and executive producing the upcoming Netflix comedy series Running Point, starring Kate Hudson, set for release in 2025.

Chestnut is the star of CBS’ upcoming medical drama series Watson, set in the world of Sherlock Holmes with Chestnut playing Dr. John Watson, which will premiere after the AFC Championship football game on Jan. 26, 2025.

The Golden Globes recognize achievements across film and TV, with categories for cinematic and box office achievement in film and best performance in stand-up comedy on television, which were introduced last year and are set to return this year.

The award for best cinematic and box office achievement includes eight nominees chosen from films that achieved “a gross box office receipt total of at least $150 million, of which $100 million must come from the U.S. domestic box office, and/or obtain commensurate digital streaming viewership according to recognized trusted industry sources within the qualifying year,” according to the Globes’ eligibility rules. Films released after Nov. 22 through the end of the year “may qualify based on projected box office performance and/or streaming views from recognized industry sources.” Golden Globes voters will then determine the nominees and winners in this category “based on excellence” from among the films that meet the box office and streaming viewership criteria.

For this category, the Golden Globes has this year partnered with data company Luminate, owned by Penske Media Eldridge, a joint venture between Penske Media Corporation and Eldridge that also owns The Hollywood Reporter and Golden Globes owner and producer Dick Clark Productions.

Luminate will provide streaming viewership data for all submitted films in the cinematic and box office acheivement category, with analysis done via Luminate’s Streaming Viewership product.

Best performance in stand-up comedy on television, recognizes comedians who gave “performances of traditional stand-up comedy of at least 30 consecutive minutes, other than roles in television series, limited series, anthology series or motion pictures made for television” on “a recognized media platform (individual social media accounts do not qualify),” according to awards rules.

The 82nd annual Golden Globe Awards is set to air live from the Beverly Hilton on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025 at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET.

The 2025 show will be the second consecutive Golden Globes to air on CBS after the Globes inked a five-year deal with the network.

This is also the second Golden Globes since its longtime backer, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, was replaced following the acquisition of all the HFPA’s assets, rights and properties by Dick Clark Productions and Eldridge. Dick Clark Productions now owns and produces the Golden Globe Awards.

Instead of the HFPA, a racially and ethnically diverse group of voters — made up of journalists representing countries from around the world — selects the nominees and winners.

Nikki Glaser will host the 2025 Golden Globes, and Emmy-winning producers Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner are set to serve as showrunners, for the second year in a row. It was previously announced that Viola Davis will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award and Ted Danson will receive the Carol Burnett Award, which recognizes TV excellence.

Read on for a complete list of this year’s nominees, which will be added as they’re announced live. Refresh for the latest.
