H1-KEY announce plans to release new music next month

K-pop girl group H1-KEY have announced their plans to release new music next month.

Today (May 27), H1-KEY and their label Grandline Group (GLG) announced that the K-pop girl group will be releasing new music next month. Their upcoming project will come out on June 19 at 6pm KST.

More information about H1-KEY’s upcoming release is expected in the coming weeks. The album follows the girl group’s ‘H1-KEYnote’ project earlier this year, which featured the songs ‘Deeper’ and ‘Thinkin’ About You’.

Currently comprising the members Seoi, Riina, Hwiseo and Yel, H1-KEY originally made their debut in early 2022 with the single album ‘Athletic Girl’. Since then, the girl group have released one other single album and two mini-albums.

H1-KEY’s recent body of work was ‘Seoul Dreaming’, which released in late August 2023. The mini-album featured the title track ‘Seoul (Such a Beautiful City)’ and the pre-release single ‘Time to Shine’.

In other K-pop news, Japanese-born K-pop idol Juri has left girl group Rocket Punch after five years. In a statement, Woollim Entertainment explained that the singer “has a different contract period [from the other] members”, and would be leaving both the label and the group.

Meanwhile, NewJeans recently dropped their new single, ‘How Sweet’. The song’s release comes amid an increasingly heated feud between ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin and HYBE over the ownership of the NewJeans label.

On the same day, BTS leader RM has dropped his second solo album, ‘Right Place, Wrong Person’, alongside a music video for lead single ‘LOST!’. The record also features the previously released song ‘Come Back to Me’.
