Atlanta Hosts a Night of Legacy and Reflection

JaroGO Media will host the Atlanta red-carpet premiere of “Our Story: The Original Public Announcement” Documentary Part 1 on Sunday, January 18, at 7:00 p.m. at BATSI in Atlanta. The evening brings together music, film, and cultural reflection to spotlight a story long overdue for recognition.

The event will open with a red-carpet step-and-repeat, followed by the official screening of the documentary. After the film, attendees will take part in a live talkback discussion with The Original Public Announcement, also known as Unc Nem. The conversation will be moderated by Ramona DeBreaux of Kiss 104.1 FM.

The evening will conclude with an exclusive preview of new music from Unc Nem, with DJ Hershey providing the soundtrack throughout the night.

Reclaiming a Foundational R&B Legacy

Our Story: The Original Public Announcement chronicles the untold journey of Dre Boykins, Rick Webster, Earl “LC” Robinson, and Mello C, the original members of Public Announcement. The documentary explores the group’s rise, their creative and professional connection to R. Kelly during his breakout era, and their foundational role in shaping 1990s R&B and Hip Hop.

Through candid interviews, rare archival footage, and personal reflection, the film examines brotherhood, fame, business, and resilience, while honoring the late Earl “LC” Robinson and documenting the group’s evolution into Unc Nem.

A Story the Culture Deserves

“This documentary reclaims history. Our Story gives Public Announcement their voice back and honors the legacy they helped create. JaroGO is proud to present stories that culture deserves to remember,” said Dr. Len Gibson, JaroGO Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer.

Following the Atlanta premiere, Our Story: The Original Public Announcement – Documentary Part 1 will debut exclusively on the JaroGO platform on Monday, January 19. The film will be available for TVOD rental at $3.99, with exclusive merchandise and related offerings also available.
