Kevin Hart, HartBeat Banner Signs With WME
Comedian and box office powerhouse Kevin Hart and his Hartbeat production banner have signed with WME for representation in all areas.
The signing comes as Hart continues to develop, star in and produce feature films, TV series, commercials and podcasts via Hartbeat as it expands its portfolio of multi-platform IP. The production bannmer was created in 2022 when Hart merged his existing entertainment companies Hartbeat Productions and Laugh Out Loud.
The company now consists of three divisions: Hartbeat Studios, which finances, develops and produces IP; Hartbeat Media, which distributes content through channels including the LOL! Network; and PULSE, a brand-funded entertainment studio and marketing consultancy. Hartbeat released 23 projects across TV, film, digital and audio last year and opened a new headquarters in Los Angeles.
The company boasts strategic partnerships with NBCUniversal, Netflix, SiriusXM, Sundance Institute, P&G, Walmart, Chase, Draft Kings, and more. Hart’s recent projects include the Netflix action heist film Lift, and the upcoming series Fight Night for Peacock.
Outside of projects starring Hart, Hartbeat has the coming-of-age comedy film Prom Dates upcoming for Hulu, the Tribeca premiere of the documentary feature Group Therapy, and Number One on the Call Sheet for AppleTV+.
Former Warner Bros. executive Jay Levine recently took the helm at Hartbeat as its new chief executive officer. Levine takes over from Hart, who had been serving as interim CEO since Thai Randolph stepped down in November 2023. Levine comes to the position after leading strategy and operations for the WarnerMedia Studios and Networks Group.
Hart continues to be represented by 3 Arts, Schreck Rose Dapello Adams Berlin & Dunham and Haley Hileman.
