Listen to Sia and Paris Hilton’s majestic new song ‘Fame Won’t Love You’
Sia and Paris Hilton have teamed up on the uplifting new single ‘Fame Won’t Love You’ – listen to the song below.
Today (April 19), Sia released the fifth single from her upcoming ninth studio album, ‘Reasonable Woman’. ‘Fame Won’t Love You’ is the first collaborative release from the Aussie pop star and the former reality TV star.
In the chorus, Sia and Hilton can be heard harmonising to relay their poignant message on “prioritising relationships over fame”: ”Little dreams come crashing / Let them wave in passing / Because fame won’t love you like a mother, like a father should.”
Sia first announced she would be dropping ‘Reasonable Woman’ – which will be her first album in eight years – last September when she released ‘Gimme Love’. The record will serve as the follow-up to her 2016 LP ‘This Is Acting’.
She then put out three more singles, all collaborations with other pop heavyweights. In October, Sia teamed up with Punjabi music star Diljit Dosanjh for the upbeat ‘Hass Hass’. Four months later, she worked with the icon Kylie Minogue on the disco-pop track ‘Dance Alone’. Earlier this month, she released the futuristic ‘Incredible’ with Labrinth.
‘Reasonable Woman’ will be released on May 3 via Monkey Puzzle / Atlantic Records. You can pre-save and pre-order the album here.
Sia will also serve as the executive producer for Hilton’s upcoming second album – the latter’s first in 18 years. Hilton’s last album ‘Paris’ was released in 2006 and featured her biggest song to date, ‘Stars Are Blind’.
Last year, Hilton released a newly-recorded version of her hit single called ‘Stars Are Blind (Paris’ Version)’. The song was later revamped in June with Kim Petras featuring on the remix.
In October 2023, Hilton spoke to NME about her creative process behind the album. “Music has always been such a huge part of my life,” she began. “I love DJing all around the world and at the biggest music festivals and having my concerts, but singing is something that I just love to do and I’m so proud to be in the studio.”
She added it has “been so much fun to collaborate [Sia] and with all of my favourite artists and get to put together an iconic pop album.”
Steve Aoki – who worked with Hilton on their infectious dance collaboration ‘Lighter’ last year – was also interviewed alongside the hotel heiress. He injected, saying: “That’s crazy. Sia is one of the greatest writers of music and has written some of the most epic songs ever so to have her and Paris together for this, this is going to be insane.”
In other news, Hilton joined Vampire Weekend onstage to perform ‘Cornhole’ at Coachella 2024 last weekend.
