With Pharrellâs tenure at Louis Vuitton now at a year and some change, a figurative sense of fresh air has swept through âbut itâs literal now.
Thatâs right, thereâs a new fragrance in town, and itâs for lovers. On that note, itâs also for summer. LVERS is Louis Vuittonâs latest fragrance since Pacific Chill, discounting anything from its Pure Perfumes collection, and it could be a great addition to your seasonal lineup.
Concocted by Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud, the brandâs master in-house perfumer, his latest offering channels, âthe theme of sunlight that lit up Pharrellâs debut show.â Hard to put a finger on? Perhaps, but if anyone can make the metaphoric smellable, itâs Belletrud. As zesty top notes of bergamot and galbanum transition into the lively scent of ginger, its outdoorsy finish comes to light through cedarwood and sandalwood.
And, somewhat like Belletrud, this isnât Skateboard Pâs first foray in the olfactory space, who released Girl in 2014 alongside perfumer Antoine Lee. The unisex option, introduced in tandem with his album of the same name, embraces a greater sense of ambiguity than his relatively straightforward LV debut. Still, itâs needless to say that LVERS serves as a safe starting point.
Aroma aside, Pharrellâs design team crafted two accessories to help you parade your shining new bottle around. The fragrance trunk and travel case feature LVâs relatively new Damoflage design, a pixelated spin on the fashion houseâs timeless Damier motif. Pharrell also introduced this green-hued print in the aforementioned runway show, which mused the scentâa nice full-circle moment.
Louis Vuittonâs latest fragrance, LVERS, will be available in stores and online starting June 19th.
