Partyat4 Finds His Voice in the Space Between Rap and R&B

Milwaukee artist Partyat4 steps forward with a sound built on confidence, melody, and emotional intention.

Milwaukee continues to carve out its own place in the Midwest music conversation, and Partyat4 is becoming one of the city’s most notable emerging voices. Blending rap cadence with R&B smoothness, he creates a sonic lane rooted in late-night energy, honesty, and melodic storytelling. His latest single, Make Her Say, marks a defining moment in his growth as an artist.

Shaping a Sound Through Influence

Before discussing the new single, I asked Partyat4 who shaped the way he listens, writes, and delivers. His influences taught him tone, intention, and the value of creating a moment in music.

“I would say Lil Wayne, Lauryn Hill, and Drake,” he says. “Wayne made me appreciate the weight of words and how they bounce off each other. Lauryn taught me freedom in expression. Drake showed me how to talk to women through music. All three shaped how I deliver, connect, and build a moment through sound.”

Building Make Her Say

Make Her Say is a playful and intentional record that highlights Partyat4’s evolution as a songwriter and performer. There is a calm confidence in the delivery that reflects his growth.

“Make Her Say came from a space of playfulness and connection,” he explains. “It is flirtatious, but there is real intention behind it. This record shows my growth because I am more in control of my tone and storytelling now.”

Two Cities, Two Sides

Much of the single’s development came during his time moving between Milwaukee and Atlanta. He says the two places bring out different facets of his artistry.

“Those two cities always bring out different sides of me,” he says. “Atlanta sharpens my sound. Milwaukee grounds me.”

Making Space for Listeners to Feel Something

Partyat4 says he created Make Her Say with the intention of giving listeners a moment of levity in a heavy time. The track is meant to be confident and uplifting.

“We are in a time where everything feels heavy,” he says. “This song is light. It is confident, sexy, and gives people permission to enjoy themselves again.”

Looking Ahead With Intention

As he expands his catalog, Partyat4 is focused on creating music built on storytelling, melody, and emotional intention. He wants his records to feel personal yet universal.

If Make Her Say is any indication, Partyat4 is stepping confidently into a breakout moment as one of the Midwest’s rising artists to watch.
