Where to Stream ‘Mean Girls’ (2024) Musical Movie Online – The Hollywood Reporter
Twenty years after the infamous Burn Book, movie lovers can now sing along to Mean Girls at home.
The musical twist on Tina Fey’s 2004 cult-favorite teen comedy is available to buy or rent on digital at Prime Video, Apple TV and other on-demand video platforms, and it’s also expected to stream on Paramount+ soon. The film belted past box office expectations in January with its $33.2 million opening.
Original Mean Girls Broadway star Reneé Rapp reprises her onstage role on the big screen as “the Plastics†Regina George (first played by Rachel McAdams). The musical reboot also stars Angourie Rice as Cady Heron (originally portrayed by Lindsay Lohan); Auli’i Cravalho and Jaquel Spivey as her friends, as Janis Ian and Damian Leigh; and Jenna Fischer as Cady’s mother. Avantika and Bebe Wood round out the Plastics as Karen Shetty and Gretchen Weiners (first played by Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert), while Busy Philipps is Regina’s mom.
Screenwriter Fey returns as Ms. Norbury along with Tim Meadows, who is once again Principal Duvall. Ashley Park (who starred in the Broadway musical), John Hamm, Mahi Alam and Connor Ratliff also star in the new movie.
